Staying at the Elk River Lodge is like having your own historic ranch in the Canadian Rockies with countless miles of pristine trout fishing, better than anything in Montana, with views similar to the Swiss Alps.

Picture yourself surrounded by rugged wilderness, with Banff National Park to the north and Glacier National Park to the south, with all the comforts of home. The gin-clear freestone Elk River offers countless miles of fishing by drift boat or wading straight from the lodge and the only footprints you're likely to see are your own. You have total privacy with plenty of room to roam on our 92 acres, or you can just relax around the fireplace to soak it all in after a full day on the river. You are sure to see herds of elk and deer during your stay with an elk preserve very close to the lodge. The surrounding mountains are also home to big horn sheep, mountain goats, moose, bald eagles, grizzly and black bears and are a corridor for wildlife between the large Canadian parks to the north and the US parks to the south.

Come and stay with us to rest your soul and rejuvenate your spirit. The Elk River Lodge provides an experience like no other.
